Tough Tug by Margaret Read MacDonald Review

Tough Tug by Margaret Read MacDonald Review

Tough Tug is an adorable book for a young child. It is set in Alaska which is one of my favourite states and features boats and especially tug boats. I was raised around boats and as I child I had an absolute fascination with tug boats, mostly because I thought they were cute. The illustrations by Rob McClurkan are beautiful and I love all the noises I got to say out loud while reading the story. There are several life lessons that the authour Margaret Read MacDonald weaves into the story such as: don’t give up, you can do what you set your mind to, etc. My favourite lesson though was when Tough Tug rescues another boat that needs help; a boat that has not always been very nice to Tough Tug. I like that Tough Tug still goes and helps that boat out when many would probably not have helped. I love the lesson of being the bigger person even though it is often hard to do-it is usually the right action to take. I did receive this children’s book as a giveaway on Goodreads. All opinions are 100% mine.
