The Best Eyeliner I Have Ever Used!
I have found a new favourite eyeliner. This is saying a lot as my current favourite eyeliner has held that title for the last 13 years!
The Marc Jacobs Highliner is in very sleek packaging. It twists to get more product which I enjoy because I hate forgetting a sharpener. This has happened so many times and then I cannot do full eye makeup. I love that with this Highliner I do not have to worry about that.
What I enjoyed most about the Highliner was applying it. It went on so smooth. It felt like velvet gliding across my eyelids. Most eyeliners I have tried I have to go back and forth to get a thick enough layer and my eyelids get raw and irritated. The Marc Jacobs Highliner went on with one sweep. I just went back for slight touch-ups. Again, it went on so easily that my eyelids did not feel like I had even touched them.
The colour held up well all day and stayed in place in heat, rain (it is waterproof) and all sorts of weather. It also smudged easily enough when going for a smokey eye. Yet again, it was nice to be able to play with the Highliner on my eyelids and my eyelids did not feel irritated or raw. You get 15 seconds to play and smudge before it sets in place for the day. The way I left it is the way it stayed ALL day.
The colours are also extremely pigmented with a matte finish. You could put on several layers but the seventh layer would look exactly the same as the first layer. The gel colours are bold and not for someone who wants something very subtle. I did have fun doing all sorts of styles from natural to glam to edgy.
The Marc Jacobs Highliner is formulated with no parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. It retails for $25 which is a little more than I pay now but it is SO worth the price!
I got to try the Marc Jacobs Highlier for free through Crowdtap but these opinions are 100% my own. I can honestly say this has been one of my favourite items I have tried. I will definitely be swiching to the Highliner and will be purchasing more colours in the future.
