This Witch Series is a Must Read!
The first thing that struck me about these books, “Wisteria Witches” (Books 1-3), from the very beginning, was the humour. These books are laugh out loud hilarious. I have been listening in public places, burst out laughing, and people get some amusement staring at me.
I love the mother/daughter relationship in these books. Very much a relationship you would recognize if you are a fan of Gilmore Girls. Zora and Zoey have this beautiful balance between them. Zora and Zoey definitely look out for each other and have each other’s back. They also both love their coffee. Zora has “diarrhea of the mouth” much like Lorelei. She just keeps talking. I find it endearing. Zora and Zoey also sit and make up the most ridiculous theories just like Lorelai and Rori. If you love the mother daughter relationship in Gilmore girls and nice witches, you will fall in love with these characters almost instantly.
You also meet Chet (I am not sure about spelling) and his son Corbin. Both also very endearing just for different reasons. You will also meet Crazy Aunt Z and a cast of other characters. These are mysteries. Don’t want to give too much away.
I do like that you are introduced to the characters slowly. You get to really know them before moving on to another and it makes it easier to keep track of everyone.
I love that Zora is a librarian. I also love that at the library where she starts to work, in Book 1, that they have a place called “The Grumpy Corner”.
You feel transported into the story with these characters and instantly want to be their friends. I have recommended these books to several friends already. I cannot wait to continue on with the series. I know when I finish the series I will continue to revisit this cast of characters and their town. This is also a great deal of three books in one. Tiffany Williams does an amazing job with this narration. Voices are clear and she speaks at a perfect pace.
I received this audiobook at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
